Indication/Uses: 

1. Hypertension (High Blood Pressure)

   • Usage: Losartan is primarily used to treat hypertension. It works by relaxing blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems.

2. Diabetic Nephropathy

   • Usage: Losartan is indicated to treat diabetic nephropathy (kidney disease due to diabetes) in patients with type 2 diabetes and a history of hypertension. It helps slow the progression of kidney disease by reducing proteinuria (excess protein in the urine) and preserving kidney function.

Mechanism of Action
