Indication/Uses: 

1. Respiratory Tract Infections:

   • Upper respiratory tract infections such as pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and sinusitis caused by susceptible strains of Streptococcus pneumoniae and Streptococcus pyogenes.
   • Lower respiratory tract infections including bronchitis and bacterial pneumonia.

2. Skin and Skin Structure Infections:

   • Cellulitis, abscesses, furunculosis, and impetigo caused by susceptible strains of Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes.

3. Genitourinary Tract Infections:

   • Urinary tract infections (UTIs) such as cystitis and pyelonephritis caused by Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, and Klebsiella species.

4. Bone Infections:

   • Osteomyelitis caused by Staphylococcus aureus.

5. Ear Infections:

   • Otitis media caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Staphylococcus aureus, and Streptococcus pyogenes.

Uses:

Mechanism of Action:
